Suffolk, VA (October 23, 2015) – Hope Holman, CEO of Hope4myteen, LLC was interviewed by Jemie Lee of WVEC-13 News Now on October 23, 2015 in Suffolk, Virginia. The interview was during National Teen Driver Safety Week concerning driver safety tools and resources provided by Hope4myteen.
According to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration, motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for 15- to 20-year-olds in the United States. More than 2,600 teens died in crashes in 2013. Hope Holman, a mom from Suffolk started Hope4myteen to help bring those numbers down and give parents peace of mind with their new teen drivers.
Jemie Lee, reporter for WVEC-13 News Now, was excited about the concept of increased driver safety and awareness and contacted Hope Holman to learn more of her driver safety concept. Mrs. Holman said. “It was a nightmare trying to teach her new three teen drivers to drive. With cars zooming past them, cutting them off, honking and tailgating, it wasn’t easy handing over the keys.” Hope knew she had to find a way to alert other motorists of her teen’s inexperience that would give her a peace of mind. And that’s how Hope4MyTeen was born—using “Teen Driver” magnets and flags as caution signs for drivers. Hope further explains that the signs are specifically for drivers with learner’s permits, which means a parent must be in the car at all times.
Hope4myteen is the premier organization with a mission of providing a peace of mind as they teach their teen drivers to master the road.
